One of the best family and beginner MTB trails in South East Queensland. This magical 12km loop winds through lush ferns and stunning forest canopy around the shores of Ewen Maddock Dam, with beautiful views of the Glasshouse Mountains along the way.
The mostly flat, one-direction circuit features fun twisty singletrack, easy rock gardens and log rollovers — engaging without being daunting. Perfect for families with kids, beginner riders, and those looking for a relaxing roll through beautiful bushland.

Officially rated Black Diamond (Very Difficult) by the International Mountain Bike Association, Hennessey Hill is the Sunshine Coast's only formal downhill MTB track. When in good condition it features jumps, drop-offs, steeply banked berms and rock gardens — a favourite with experienced riders.
⚠️ Current Condition Warning: Recent visitor reports (2025) indicate the trail has deteriorated, with 4WD vehicles damaging the track surface. Check current conditions before visiting.
Note: Not recommended for beginners, families or children.

A beautiful loop starting near the Glass House Mountains train station, following mainly forest tracks and dirt roads with some quiet on-road stretches. The route offers great views of Mount Tibberoowuccum through picturesque tree-lined dirt roads. The final 4km uses a dedicated cycle track along Steve Irwin Way.

A longer, more adventurous ride through Beerburrum and the Glass House Mountains region for those with a reasonable level of fitness. The highlight is the Glass House Mountains Lookout — a perfect mid-ride stop with stunning panoramic views and a great café for coffee.
One of the best ways to experience the Glasshouse Mountains is to ride your bike to a trailhead and then explore on foot. Here are the best walk combinations accessible from our park:
Walk Grade: Easy to Moderate | Walk Distance: 2.8km return | Time: ~1.5 hours
Ride from the park to the Glass House Mountains township (only 4km!), then cycle a further 3km to the Ngungun trailhead via Coonowrin and Fullertons Roads. The summit walk rewards with spectacular close-up views of Mount Tibrogargan, Mount Coonowrin and Mount Beerwah — one of the best panoramas in the region. Popular at sunrise and sunset.
Walk Grade: Moderate | Walk Distance: 4.1km circuit | Time: ~1.5 hours
Wind your way around the base of the iconic Mount Tibrogargan through open eucalypt and casuarina forests. The Mountain View lookout offers views of Mount Beerwah, Coonowrin, Tibberoowuccum and Tunbubudla. Beautifully crafted rock arch bridges make this the number one non-summit walk in the Glasshouse Mountains. There is also a 5.4km shared cycling and walking trail linking Beerburrum and Tibrogargan trailheads.
Walk Grade: Easy | Walk Distance: 700m return | Time: ~20 minutes | Great for families
A short, easy stroll to one of the region's best lookouts. At 123 metres above sea level, Wild Horse Mountain rewards with 360-degree panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains to the west and Mount Coolum to the north. Perfect for families and a great spot for photos.
Walk Grade: Moderate | Walk Distance: 5.7km return | Time: ~2–3 hours
A stunning circuit linking Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Tibberoowuccum through open woodlands and heathland. The highlight is Jack Ferris Lookout on Trachyte Ridge, offering spectacular panoramic views of Tibrogargan, Beerwah and Ngungun peaks. Interpretive signs along the way explain the area's unique volcanic history.
